ACOC Draft Responses to JSC Proposals
Draft responses to the following proposals were endorsed
Further amendment required for the following drafts:
Response to be revised to clarify ACOC’s position regarding the ambiguous wording in Recommendation 3
The response indicates ACOC’s general support of the proposal, but some re-wording indicating wider issues needs to be made.
The following proposals were discussed and assigned to ACOC members to respond
ACOC generally supports the intent of this proposal but has concerns with some of the proposed new wording, in particular:
- “for selection” it is not clear what this refers to
- “instead of or in addition to...” this is inconsistent with the rest of RDA
ACOC supports this proposal but has concerns regarding the proposed additional examples and the use of terminology “traditional”
ACOC supports this proposal. It was noted that the proposed revision is a big change from the original instructions and therefore if supported by JSC they should be prioritised.
ACOC supports this proposal. Clarification will be sought on recording of composer names, as the proposed examples show surnames only. ACOC suggests re-wording of the term “useless” to “redundant” in the alternative instruction
The following proposals were supported as they stand
The following proposals are to be discussed at the next teleconference
Other proposals to be discussed
LC has prepared responses to the following proposals, and ACOC agreed that these proposals and the LC responses will need to be discussed.
ISSN/1 (to revisit following LC response)
EURIG/2 (to revisit following LC response)
The next teleconference is scheduled for 24th September.
Meeting closed 3:00 pm.
