Brightsolid in partnership with British Library: The British Newspaper Archive contains news articles, family notices, letters to the editor, obituaries and advertisements from historical newspapers published in the UK. The British Library is working in partnership with brightsolid online publishing over the next 10 years to digitise up to 40 million newspaper pages from the British Library's vast collection. The first stage of this project focuses on newspaper runs published before 1900 and will include titles from cities such as Birmingham, Derby, Manchester, Nottingham, Norwich, Leeds and York, along with county newspapers and local titles from London boroughs. : The Illustrated London News Historical Archive provides complete access to every issue of this illustrated newspaper for a period of 160 years. The contents are fully searchable, and users can browse individual issues, including specials and supplements. Over the course of its history the newspaper reported on all the great events of the day, including wars, royalty, social events, science and exploration. Thomson Gale: The Making of the Modern World : The Goldsmiths'-Kress Library of Economic Literature (Part 1: 1450-1850 and Part II: 1851-1914) is the most comprehensive collection in existence for the study of early economic, political, business, and social history, and for researching the literature of economics from this period. The Making of the Modern World digital collection presents more than 62,400 titles from the period 1450-1914. It focuses on economics interpreted in the widest sense, including political science, history, sociology, and special collections on banking, finance, transportation and manufacturing. 155. FreeThe Manning Index of South Australian History

State Library of South Australia: This index contains many thousands of references to South Australian newspaper and magazine stories for the years 1837 to 1937. It also includes extensive selected text from the indexed publications, other primary and secondary sources and numerous extracts from Mr Manning's own writings. Notable publications (selectively) indexed include Adelaide Times, Advertiser, Chronicle, The Critic, Express & Telegraph, Frearson's Weekly, The Herald, Illustrated Adelaide Post, The Irish Harp, The Lantern, The Mail, The News, Observer, Register, SA Gazette & Mining Journal, and Southern Australian. The index is divided into the four folders: South Australia - includes coverage of a number of state level topics; Adelaide - includes a number of topics which predominately relate to the city and the metropolitan area as a whole; Port Adelaide; and Place Names of South Australia - an alphabetical list of South Australian place names (including suburbs of Adelaide). Biographical references are generally located on pages dealing with the place or activity with which a person is most associated. For example, several references to aviator Jimmy Melrose can be found in the entry for Melrose Park. Many Place Name pages have a list of obituaries of notable residents - generally at the bottom of the page or part of page dealing with the place.

Magpies Magazine Pty Ltd: The Source is a searchable bibliographic database to children's literature by subject from around the world with an emphasis on Australian and New Zealand books. It includes references to both out of print and current material. It is the work of Kerry White, a significant contributor to the study of Australian children's literature. It includes contributions from Magpies Magazine and others.

Gale Group: Commenced in 1822, providing analysis and commentary on the weeks news and society at large. Early issues contained colourful information on murders, mysteries, theatre, sport and politics. Despite similarities in name, it was an entirely separate paper from The Times until 1967 when they came under common ownership of Times Newspapers Ltd. Today it remains editorially independent from The Times with its own remit and perspective on events. The National Library also provides access to The Times Digital Archive 1785-2007. J. Paul Getty Trust: ULAN is a structured vocabulary that contains thousands of names and other information about artists. The coverage is from antiquity to the present, and the geographic scope is global. The scope includes any identified individual or corporate body (ie a group of people working together) involved in the design or creation of art and architecture.

UNESCO: The Atlas lists about 2,500 languages considered to be endangered. For each language, the Atlas provides its name, degree of endangerment, the country or countries where it is spoken, numbers of speakers, relevant policies and projects, sources, ISO codes and geographic coordinates.
