It contains concise, informative and fascinating descriptions of the lives of significant and representative persons in Australian history. The biographical articles are those found in the printed work which is available in the Main Reading Room at the National Library at RF 920.094 AUS.

: The Australian Dress Register is a collaborative, online project about dress in New South Wales pre 1945. This includes men's, women's and children's clothing ranging from the special occasion to the everyday. Users can browse the collection using the timeline, or by other means including garment type, gender, place of origin.

Department of the Environment: The Australian Heritage Database contains information about more than 20,000 natural, historic and Indigenous places.The database includes: places in the World Heritage List; National Heritage List; Commonwealth Heritage list;Register of the National Estate; List of Overseas Places of Historic Significance to Australia; and places under consideration, or that may have been considered for, any one of these lists. The information used to describe each place includes its values,legal status, significance, physical condition, history,location and boundaries, physical description, and bibliography Photographs of the place are included (if available) through links to the Australian Heritage Photographic Library Information about many Indigenous places in the Register of the National Estate is not available on the Internet. Search using latitude, longitude and map reference for places in New South Wales, Western Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and External Territories.

Informit: AHRR is a list of paper-based records held in private hands in Australia, providing an insight into life in Australia from settlement to 1988. It contains information on letters, diaries, photographs, financial records, posters, sketches, recipe books, catalogues, minute books, registers and other material. AHRR is the product of the Australian Bicentennial Historic Records Search, the major heritage project of the Australian Bicentennial Authority. No longer updated.

Mura Gadi is an online guide to significant manuscripts, pictures and oral histories in the National Library of Australia relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples prior to 2003. Although it does not list the many books, periodicals and other publications in the Library relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, these materials can be found using the Library's online catalogue at http://www.nla.gov.au/catalogue/
