Sydney Dead Persons Society: The Ryerson Index is an index to death notices appearing in current Australian newspapers and includes some funeral notices, probate notices and obituaries. The index covers mostly New South Wales newspapers, although some newspapers from other States are included.
National Library of Australia: A freely available collection of digitised out of copyright Australian newspapers covering the years 1803 to 1954. Titles include the first newspaper to be published in Australia, the Sydney Gazette. Other titles include The Argus (Victoria), The Sydney Morning Herald (New South Wales), The Courier Mail (Queensland), The West Australian (Western Australia), The Mercury (Tasmania), The Advertiser (South Australia), The Canberra Times (Australian Capital Territory).
