Safe Work Australia: The Hazardous Substances Information System allows users to find information on substances that have been classified in accordance with the Approved Criteria for Classifying Hazardous Substances, 3rd Edition and/or have National Exposure Standards declared under the NOHSC Adopted National Exposure Standards for Atmospheric Contaminants in the Occupational Environment. HSIS also provides direct access to a consolidated list of all the classified substances contained in the HSIS database.
International Organization for Standardization: Searchable catalogue of standards produced by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Users of this service can purchase standards in either PDF format or hardcopy. Onsite users at the National Library of Australia can request the paper copy of the standard using the catalogue record with the BIB ID 2171971.
American National Standards Institute: NSSN is a free online information service providing access to bibliographic information for more than 300,000 approved standards. Search the online catalog for title words or document numbers to find out if the standard you need exists, and if so, NSSN will tell you where to obtain the standard.
SAI Global: Through this site you can buy all Australian, ISO and IEC Standards, plus a range of publications from other national and international organisations. You can choose an instant PDF download, or order a hard copy for delivery by mail. Onsite National Library of Australia users can access the SAI Global Online Public Library service to view full text Australian standards for free. They can also request the paper copy of the Australian standard via our catalogue using the record with the BIB ID 10044717.
SAI Global: This database provides full text access to all current Australian Standards, Joint ISO/Australian Standards, Joint NZ/Australian Standards, current Draft Australian Standards, and amendments to Australian Standards. Printing is permitted (within the limits of the Copyright Act, and one page at a time), but electronic copying and emailing are prohibited under the licence terms and conditions. Some International Standards, including European Standards (known as ENs, or European Norme), which are equivalent national standards for all members of the European Union, are also included.
