Informit Indigenous CollectionInformit: The Informit Indigenous Collection offers a variety of content on both historical and topical issues within Indigenous studies. It encompasses anthropology, community development, cultural studies, economics, education, health, history, human geography, law and land rights, literature, politics and policy making, (post)colonial studies, psychology, race studies, sociology and visual and performing arts. IIC includes material from Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, North America and The Pacific which normally is not easily located in standard resources.
International Data Base: World StatisticsU.S. Census Bureau: The International Data Base (IDB) is a computerized data bank containing statistical tables of demographic, economic, and social data for all countries of the world. The Summary Data section allows you to click on the name of a country and view vital statistics (birth rate, death rate, growth rate, infant mortality rate, fertility rate, life expectancy), and population estimates and projections (for 1950 to 2050). You may also download the database and software to use the database. There is more information here than in the summary data, and provisions are available for generating tables, maps, graphs, charts, and lotus spreadsheets.
ipl2: Information You Can Trust: An annotated collection of high quality Internet resources, contributed by volunteers and librarians. Websites and resources are selected to maintain a broadly representative collection of websites for information, reference and research. The site is constantly updated.
JSTORJSTOR: A continually expanding multi-disciplinary archive of scholarly material in the social sciences and humanities and the sciences. It includes the archives of over 1,000 journals, monographs, newspapers and selected conference proceedings. Access is provided to the complete scanned image of the item. Journals are available from volume 1, issue 1, although the most recently published journal issues are not available on JSTOR. The National Library subscribes to the Arts & Sciences Collections Parts I - X, the Nineteenth Century British Pamphlets collection and the Ireland collection. Available for document delivery to Australian libraries.
Koori MailKoori Mail: Online version of the Koori Mail, a national fortnightly newspaper published in Lismore, NSW, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The first issue was 23 May 1991. It reports on people, issues and events that affect indigenous peoplesfrom all over Australia - from an indigenous perspective. An Index to the Koori Mail is also available on the Australian Indigenous Index website produced by the State Library of New South Wales.

Ohio University Library and Informit: Provides an extensive coverage of articles on Malaysia, Singapore and other South-east Asian countries. Subject coverage includes education, business, law, science and technology, politics and information science.
Informit: Covers management issues for business and government, including the Australian and international economies, strategic and financial management, TQM, human resources, marketing, materials handling, innovation, and environmental management such as recycling and litter control.

These are general sites for researching statistics on the Internet and provide a good starting place for researchers in this field. They lead to statistical information on a diverse range of specific topics as well as providing links to other useful sites both in Australia and overseas.
Mura Gadi is an online catalogue of the National Library of Australia's manuscript, pictorial and oral history resources relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Though it does not list the many books, periodicals and other publications in the Library relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, these materials can be found using the Library's online catalogue at http://www.nla.gov.au/catalogue/
