Description
The Centre was formed by the University of Melbourne in 1999. It continues the heritage activities of the Australian Science Archives Project (ASAP). The Centre's aim is to develop programs that foster the preservation, promotion and development of the heritage of Australian science, technology and medicine. ASAP's popular online information resources include Bright Sparcs (biographical database of scientists), the Australian Science at Work Register and the online version of Technology in Australia 1788-1988.
