South Australian Genealogy and Heraldry Society ; Macbeth Genealogical Services: This publication contains over 140,000 records of marriages registered in the state under a compulsory registration system introduced in 1842. This information can be used to chart family history and identify the certificates you require, locate births for legal purposes, investigate local history and compile statistics, etc.

National Library of Australia: South Seas is an online information resource for the history of European voyaging and cross-cultural encounters in the Pacific between 1760 and 1800. South Seas offers the full text of the holograph manuscript of James Cook's Endeavour Journal. (The National Library of Australia holds the original holograph 'Journal of the HMS Endeavour' in the Manuscripts Collection. This work has been digitised and can be viewed in its entirety at this URL http://nla.gov.au/nla.ms-ms1) The South Seas website also includes the full texts of the journals kept by Joseph Banks and Sydney Parkinson on the voyage. Also included is the text of John Hawkesworth's 'Account of the Voyages undertaken ... in the Southern Hemisphere' (1773).
