Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts: The Australian Heritage Database contains information about more than 20,000 natural, historic and Indigenous places.The database includes: places in the World Heritage List; National Heritage List; Commonwealth Heritage list;Register of the National Estate; List of Overseas Places of Historic Significance to Australia; and places under consideration, or that may have been considered for, any one of these lists. The information used to describe each place includes its values,legal status, significance, physical condition, history,location and boundaries, physical description, and bibliography Photographs of the place are included (if available) through links to the Australian Heritage Photographic Library Information about many Indigenous places in the Register of the National Estate is not available on the Internet. Search using latitude, longitude and map reference for places in New South Wales, Western Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and External Territories.

National Library of Australia: These are selected sites for researching Australian history on the Internet and provide a starting place for researchers in this field. They lead to a diverse range of information on Australian history resources as well as providing links to other useful sites.

: Administers anti-discrimination and human rights laws in Australia. The site provides links to publications of the Commission including reports, legal research, statistics, and educational material.

State Library of New South Wales: The Australian Indigenous Index (previously INFOKOORI)is an index to the Koori Mail (http://www.koorimail.com/), a national fortnightly newspaper published in Lismore, NSW, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The first issue was 23 May 1991. It reports on people, issues and events that affect indigenous peoplesfrom all over Australia - from an indigenous perspective. The Index also includes biographical material on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples form the magazines: Dawn (1952-1969), New Dawn 1970-1975) and Identity (1971-1982). Other historical information about Aboriginal people and communities from newspapers published in NSW, is also being added to the Index.
