Macquarie Dictionary Publishers: The Macquarie Dictionary was first published in print in 1981 and has been online since 2003. It is now nationally and internationally regarded as the standard reference on Australian English. The online service gives you access to the Macquarie Dictionary Sixth Edition and the latest edition of the Macquarie Thesaurus plus annual updates. It also includes a range of useful resources such as a grammar and punctuation guide, common abbreviations, measurements and their various equivalents and the Australian Word Map.

Society of Australian Genealogists: Listing of over 70,000 transcriptions from Sydney's former "Northern Suburbs" cemetery. Users can search by last name (including phonetic and wild cards), first name, year of death and inscription. Each record shows the full details transcribed, as well as denomination, section, row and plot number. Nearby graves are also listed.

The resources include literary manuscripts, historical documents and early printed books which are located on websites owned by libraries, archives, universities and publishers. 7. FreeMap images

National Library of Scotland: High resolution zoomable images of over 86,000 maps of Scotland, England and Wales, including Colour images of the Ordnance Survey's six-inch to the mile (1:10,560) mapping. This mapping represented the first comprehensive survey of all of these areas at a consistent scale and specification and so provided the most detailed topographic mapping of these areas for the years 18402-1960s. They record most man-made and natural features in the landscape.

Warner, Mary-Anne, with material from the State Records Authority of New South Wales: This index lists names of passengers (cabin, saloon & steerage), crew, captains, stowaways, births and deaths at sea, transcribed from the State Records Authority of New South Wales Reels of the Shipping Masters' Office, Inwards Passenger Lists. Check website for details of completed indexing. Microfilm of these passenger lists is available in the Newspapers and Family History zone of the Main Reading Room (mfm N 229, Microfilm Drawer "New South Wales").
