Humanities Research Institute, University of Sheffield: The Proceedings of the Old Bailey is a fully searchable database detailing the lives of non-elite people which contains accounts of over 197,700 criminal trials held at London's central criminal court. Old Bailey Proceedings for the period 1714 - 1834 are also available in the microfilm collection at call number mfm 1747 in the Newspapers and Microforms Reading Room.

U.S. National Library of Medicine: PubMed Central is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM). As well as current material, some digitised content dates back to the mid 1800s or early 1900s. Also provides a link to PubMed, a database of citations and abstracts for millions of articles from thousands of journals. PubMed includes links to full-text articles at several thousand journal web sites as well as to most of the articles in PubMed Central.

Queensland Historical Atlas: A website exploring the Queensland landscape through the themes of: distinctiveness, perceptions, Queenslanders, movement, pathways, separation, conflict, imagination, memory, curiosity, exploitation, transformation, survival, pleasure. It uses maps from both Queensland's and Australia's history to illustrate and anchor the articles and themes.
