Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry: The portal is a catalogue of Australian, State and Territory government information and services for the agricultural, fisheries, processed food and forestry industries. Categories to browse include resource management, products and resources, agricultural economics and agribusiness.
University of Western Australia: Provides information on Australian government and politics at both state and Commonwealth level. Information includes state-wide and nation-wide electoral results, party listings, governments information including premiers and prime ministers, party compositions within the State and Commonwealth parliaments. Information on current politics and government is presented, but the database also contains the historical information presented in the four print volumes compiled by Colin Hughes called 'Handbook of Australian government and politics' covering the years 1890-1999.

Department of the Environment: The Australian Heritage Database contains information about more than 20,000 natural, historic and Indigenous places.The database includes: places in the World Heritage List; National Heritage List; Commonwealth Heritage list;Register of the National Estate; List of Overseas Places of Historic Significance to Australia; and places under consideration, or that may have been considered for, any one of these lists. The information used to describe each place includes its values,legal status, significance, physical condition, history,location and boundaries, physical description, and bibliography Photographs of the place are included (if available) through links to the Australian Heritage Photographic Library Information about many Indigenous places in the Register of the National Estate is not available on the Internet. Search using latitude, longitude and map reference for places in New South Wales, Western Australia, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and External Territories.
Environment Australia: This site is a directory to Australian heritage resources available on the internet. It includes searchable databases (such as the Australian Heritage Places Inventory) and lists of the national and state heritage registers. It also includes links to funding, relevant legislation, government and non-government agencies and other key resources.
National Library of Australia: A guide to the printed resources relating to Australian history at the National Library. In addition to the works mentioned here the Library holds a large range of primary and secondary resources on this topic.

State Library of New South Wales: The Australian Indigenous Index (previously INFOKOORI)is an index to the Koori Mail (http://www.koorimail.com/), a national fortnightly newspaper published in Lismore, NSW, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The first issue was 23 May 1991. It reports on people, issues and events that affect indigenous peoplesfrom all over Australia - from an indigenous perspective. The Index also includes biographical material on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples form the magazines: Dawn (1952-1969), New Dawn 1970-1975) and Identity (1971-1982). Other historical information about Aboriginal people and communities from newspapers published in NSW, is also being added to the Index.
Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS): Information is included about the resources and collections of AIATSIS, including Mura (AIATSIS catalogue), family history sources, and the Australian Indigenous Cultural Network. There are also web links to subjects such as education, children and families, health, languages, land rights and native title, and law.
