Index to Tasmanian Divorces 1861 - 1920Archives Office of Tasmania: This is an index to records relating to petitions for divorce under the Matrimonial Causes Act 1860, that were heard in the Tasmanian Supreme Court. The Archives Office of Tasmania holds records relating to these cases, which vary from a few to many pages of documents, but has indexed them only up to the above date. There are about 450 records arranged by petitioner's surname. Copies of the records listed are available from the Archives Office.
Index to the 1841 CensusState Records of New South Wales: The 1841 census records the population by police districts, counties and towns. The Index to the 1841 Census covers all the surviving householders' returns and abstracts of returns. As the returns record only the name of the head of the household, the names of the other people resident in the household are not identified. The Index provides details of: householder's or owners name; return number; residence; item identifier; page number; reel number and notes. 1841 census, abstracts of householders returns, Reel 1 (A.O. Index to the Colonial Secretary's Papers, 1788-1825State Records of New South Wales: The index contains entries on records maintained by the Governors' Secretaries reflecting all aspects of the administration of the Australian colony from 1788 to 1825. The approach of the Index is primarily a personal one, concentrating on the early inhabitants of our nation - the convicts, settlers, indigenous Australians and colonial officials. However, the Index does contain many entries relating to ships, subjects, towns and localities. The index contains references to material available on microfiche (mc N 763) or microfilm (mfm N 257) on Open Access in the Newspapers and Microforms Reading Room.
Index to Victorian Wills, Probate and Administration Records 1841-1925Public Record Office Victoria: Wills and probate records created betweemn 1841 and 1925 in Victoria have been indexed and are being digitised and made available online free of charge. The 1926-1992 portion of the Victorian Probate Index will be completed and made available online in late 2009.

INFOQUICK [Sydney Morning Herald Index]State Library of New South Wales: INFOQUICK is a selective index to the Sydney Morning Herald and its supplements (including the Sun Herald, Good Weekend, Eastern Herald, Northern Herald) from 1 January 1988 to 30 June 2005. It indexes articles about Australia or Australians; articles by Australians; and overseas items that have direct importance for Australia. It does not index letters, music reviews, advertisements, public notices such as births, deaths and marriages, daily weather reports, classified advertising and similar.
