1. FreeManuscripts Online Written Culture 1000 to 1500

: Provides access to a diverse body of online primary resources relating to written and early printed culture in Britain during the period 1000 to 1500. The resources include literary manuscripts, historical documents and early printed books which are located on websites owned by libraries, archives, universities and publishers. 3. FreeMap images : Scotland, England, Wales.

National Library of Scotland: High resolution zoomable images of over 86,000 maps of Scotland, England and Wales, including Colour images of the Ordnance Survey's six-inch to the mile (1:10,560) mapping. This mapping represented the first comprehensive survey of all of these areas at a consistent scale and specification and so provided the most detailed topographic mapping of these areas for the years 18402-1960s. They record most man-made and natural features in the landscape.

4. FreeMariners and Ships in Australian Waters

Warner, Mary-Anne, with material from the State Records NSW: This index lists names of passengers (cabin, saloon & steerage), crew, captains, stowaways, births and deaths at sea, transcribed from the State Records NSW Reels of the Shipping Masters' Office, Inwards Passenger Lists. Check website for details of completed indexing. Microfilm of these passenger lists is available in the Newspapers and Family History zone of the Main Reading Room (mfm N 229, Microfilm Drawer "New South Wales").

Western Australian Maritime Museum: Allows searching of the museum collections for shipwreck information, shipwreck artefacts, numismatic (coin) materials, as well as the ANCODS (Agreement between Australia and the Netherlands Concerning Old Dutch Shipwrecks) collection.

National Library of Australia: Mura Gadi is an online guide to significant manuscripts, pictures and oral histories in the National Library of Australia relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples prior to 2003. Although it does not list the many books, periodicals and other publications in the Library relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, these materials can be found using the Library's online catalogue at http://www.nla.gov.au/catalogue/

Brigham Young University: Site consists of an online bibliography of music and dance bibliographies and reference sources; a blog devoted to music and dance bibliography and reference; basic introductions to reference tools intended to help students understand how reference sources can guide them to appropriate research material; access to unpublished bibliographies; a Facebook page designed as a forum for interested librarians, scholars, and students. Bibliography includes bibliographies and reference sources (both print and online), some of which are annotated with critiques on use, coverage, organization, and pros and cons. Many entries also list published reviews for the corresponding sources.
