Humanities Research Institute, University of Sheffield: The Proceedings of the Old Bailey is a fully searchable database detailing the lives of non-elite people which contains accounts of over 197,700 criminal trials held at London's central criminal court. Old Bailey Proceedings for the period 1714 - 1834 are also available in the microfilm collection at call number mfm 1747 in the Newspapers and Microforms Reading Room.
