Macquarie Dictionary Publishers: The Macquarie Dictionary was first published in print in 1981 and has been online since 2003. It is now nationally and internationally regarded as the standard reference on Australian English. The online service gives you access to the Macquarie Dictionary Sixth Edition and the latest edition of the Macquarie Thesaurus plus annual updates. It also includes a range of useful resources such as a grammar and punctuation guide, common abbreviations, measurements and their various equivalents and the Australian Word Map.
