Popular records contained in the collections include birth, marriage and death records; census records; British newspapers; parish baptisms, marriages and burials; military records, and passenger lists of ships leaving the UK. A key collection is that of the British in India, produced in partnership with the British Library, and including the records of the British India Office and the East India company
