Informit: Formerly HERA, this is a database from the Australian Heritage Commission, providing access to information on Australia's natural and cultural environment, including national parks, endangered species, wilderness areas, important historical and archaeological sites, historic buildings, structures and towns. It indexes journals, unpublished reports, books, videos, and theses from many different sources around Australia. Emphasis is placed on reports written or commissioned by government and non-government heritage agencies throughout the country. Contains material dating from the mid 1970s.

38. OnsiteAustralian historic records register - AHRR

Informit: AHRR is a list of paper-based records held in private hands in Australia, providing an insight into life in Australia from settlement to 1988. It contains information on letters, diaries, photographs, financial records, posters, sketches, recipe books, catalogues, minute books, registers and other material. AHRR is the product of the Australian Bicentennial Historic Records Search, the major heritage project of the Australian Bicentennial Authority. No longer updated.

Informit: A bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts published and unpublished material on industrial relations and related topics. Source documents are Australian monographs, academic and current affairs journals; and less accessible publications, such as newsletters of trade union and employer groups, working papers, reports, annual reports, and conference proceedings. IREL deals with all aspects of the relationships between trade unions and employer groups, governments and industrial tribunals in Australia, representing the perspectives of both management and workforce. Subject coverage includes industrial conflict, wages and conditions, labour market economics, equal employment opportunity, labour law, occupational health and safety, workplace reform, enterprise bargaining, and trade union restructuring.

40. OnsiteAustralian Library & Information Science Abstracts - ALISA

Informit: A bibliographic database that indexes and abstracts articles from published and unpublished material on library and information science from 1982 onwards. ALISA aims to cover comprehensively all current Australian literature on library and information services and the library workforce including education and training, information technology including CD-ROM, networking, electronic publishing, and telecommunications. There are also records relating to Australian children's literature, and archives. Source documents include monographs, research reports, conference papers, periodical articles and unpublished material. Overseas articles by Australian authors or on Australian libraries are also indexed.
