It is not a complete transcription giving full details of the burial, but points the researcher to a source or sources which should provide more details. New Zealand Society of Genealogists Inc.: The CD is searchable on surname, given name or initial and date. Some very unusual spellings are recorded which might be found using "partial" or Soundex searches. This index contains almost 1.7 million names of brides and grooms marrying between 1856 and 1956 with 22,500 names for earlier marriages. Its principal purpose is to help identify the matching entry to a marriage in the Registrar General Office's index of marriages. It does not contain details from certificates.
