World Book, Inc.: Full text of the World Book Encyclopedia, in either the Americas Edition or the International Edition, with links to other resources.

EBSCO Publishing: Academic Search Premier is an academic collection of full text peer-reviewed journals. It contains over 4,500 journals in full text, with more than 3,7000 being peer reviewed. PDF back files dating to 1975 or earlier are provided for more than 100 journals. A broad range of subject areas are covered including including biology, chemistry, engineering, physics, psychology, and religion & theology. Also contains links to other Ebsco databases: Business Source Premier, MasterFILE Premier, Health Source Nursing/Academic, Australia New Zealand Reference Centre. These databases are updated daily. Available for document delivery to Australian libraries.

Encyclopaedia Britannica: This resources provides the full text of Encyclopaedia Britannica plus links to related web sites. You can: find all the references to a topic with the index; browse the encyclopedia in its traditional alphabetic arrangement; find articles organised into different subject areas; read articles about notable events and people of the recent past; examine maps of continents, countries and oceans and find links to related articles; trace the history of different subjects; follow the "Learn more" links to view related articles; and browse through selected videos organised by subject.

JSTOR: A continually expanding multi-disciplinary archive of scholarly material in the social sciences and humanities and the sciences. It includes the archives of over 1,000 journals, monographs, newspapers and selected conference proceedings. Access is provided to the complete scanned image of the item. Journals are available from volume 1, issue 1, although the most recently published journal issues are not available on JSTOR. The National Library subscribes to the Arts & Sciences Collections Parts I - X, the Nineteenth Century British Pamphlets collection and the Ireland collection. Available for document delivery to Australian libraries.

6. FreeAustralian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)

Australian Bureau of Statistics: The ABS website provides statistics on the following themes: economy; environment and energy; industry; people; and regions. Included are statistical publications on agriculture, demography, census, finance, labour, manufacturing, national accounts, prices, service industries, social trends, trade and transport. Electronic copies of ABS publications and related statistical tables are free to any member of the public with Internet access. Also provides access to a growing collection of historical statistics.

7. FreePubMed

U.S. National Library of Medicine: PubMed comprises more than 19 million citations for biomedical articles from MEDLINE and life science journals. Citations may include links to full-text articles from PubMed Central or publisher web sites. Coverage begins in 1966.
