Air Vice-Marshal Sir Sefton Brancker offered #1, which "Smithy" accepted. The pound note was signed by both parties. Brought to Australia by Captain A.G. Lamplugh, it was presented to Mr Hudson Fysh who in turn presented it to the Minister for Air Services (Mr White) for the inclusion amongst the Kingsford-Smith relics in the National Museum.'
