Series 10:
Other papers, 1939-c.2003
This small series of material was donated to the Library in 2003 from the Curator at 'The Cedars', Hahndorf. It consists mainly of promotional material relating to the Heysen family home which has been maintained by the Heysen family and is now open to the public. Included are postcards of some of Hans Heysen's artworks and cards containing seeds from the gum trees growing at 'The Cedars'. The proceeds from the seed cards go to 'Trees Please', a not for profit Landcare Group working at 'The Cedars'.
Also included is a copy of Sir Hans Heysen OBE: Historic Hahndorf by Colin Thiele and Stewart Cockburn (c.1967) and a photocopy of an article by Hans Heysen titled 'A plea for our remaining roadside gums' from the Balhannah centenary 1839-1939 : historical record and review (1939).
