Simon collection (China)
The National Library holds the collection of Professor Walter Simon (1893-1981), Professor of Chinese at the University of London from 1947 to 1960, and an eminent scholar of Chinese and other East Asian languages.
The collection which reflects Professor Simon's academic interests relates mainly to East Asian languages and studies, in particular the Chinese, Tibetan, Manchu and Mongolian and Japanese languages. The collection also contains English, German and other Western language works on related subjects. All books in the collection has been catalogued and are available from the Asian Collections Reading Room. They can be found on the catalogue by Call number 'SIMON'
