About the Exhibitions blog

The Exhibition Gallery at the National Library of Australia presents a number of exhibitions each year celebrating Australian history, art and popular culture. While the exhibitions are usually centred on the Library’s own rich holdings they also draw on the collections of some of the world’s great libraries and private collections. The Exhibitions blog keeps you up to date with the Library’s exhibition program and provides a forum to discuss shows currently on display or under development. It explores the challenges of developing exhibitions including stories about curatorial research, interpretative planning, exhibition design, multi-media and the preparation of objects for display. Join us for this behind the scenes view of the world of exhibition development.
