Notes: Jigsaw puzzle map of Oceania featuring Australia and the Pacific extending to Southeast Asia and the tip of California, ca. 1880 showing details of inland exploration of Australia particularly the Darling and Murray Rivers as well as the demarcation of the regions of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia. Logerot was one of the early French mapmakers to develop 'dissected' puzzles and issued similar toys for many regions of the world. Relief shown by hachures.

Monrocq was a printer in Paris for Andriveau Goujon, circa 1876 - NUC, pre 1956, v.391, p230.
