Formed Collection
Dryer Collection (Ireland)
The Library holds the library of Dr A. Dryer. Dr Dryer, born in Singleton, N.S.W., founded the Irish National Association in Sydney in 1915, and remained devoted to the cause of Irish independence throughout his life. His library reflects this interest with over half the material being related directly to Ireland, and the other half covering the Catholic Church, and modern European politics and history.
The collection comprises approximately 2 000 items, mainly monographs with some manuscript and music material. Most items are Irish imprints, with a large number of Gaelic language titles.
