Using the Collection
Ephemera
Finding what you want
The Catalogue is a good place to start to find ephemera. However, as cataloguing of the ephemera collection is still in process, you may need to use a number of methods to find material.
Readers may request material for use at any time using eCallslips via the Library's catalogue.
Arrangement
The print ephemera collection is arranged by subject across five key sequences:
- Australian Performing Arts (PROMPT)
- General ephemera - subject thesaurus available
- Programmes and invitations - subject thesaurus available
- Trade catalogues - subject thesaurus available
- Geographic ephemera - subject thesaurus available
Entries for general subjects are progressively being added to the Library's catalogue: to find these, add 'Ephemera General' to any keyword search.
The PROMPT collection provides access to a range of materials relating to the performing arts in Australia: programmes, brochures, publicity information and more. To find performing arts ephemera in the catalogue, add 'PROMPT' to any keyword search.
