Journals (sometimes also called serials or periodicals) are considered to be publications which come out at regular or irregular intervals - magazines, newsletters, annual reports, newspapers etc. and are produced by all segments of Australian society - academic, ethnic and multicultural, aboriginal, businesses, clubs and societies, schools government departments, professional associations etc.
Including newspapers, the Library holds over 175,000 journal titles of which 44,000 are current.
Journals are made available via the Catalogue, and may be used in the Main Reading Room or through a range of Document Supply Services. Rare items must, however, be used only in the Petherick Reading Room.
