Delivery Options

For photocopies and transcripts

The copy you request will be scanned and posted to the National Library of Australia's web site in PDF format. We will send you an email when it is ready, with a link and password to the web site to allow you to pick up the copy.

Alternatively the copy you request can be printed and sent by post or picked up from the National Library of Australia provided you specifically indicate this in the special requirements section of the form.

For photographs, microfilm and oral history tapes or CDs

  • Collect from the National Library of Australia - the copy you request will be available for collection from the appropriate Special Collection Reading Room of the National Library of Australia: Asian Collections, Main Reading Room, Manuscripts, Maps, Newspapers, or Pictures
  • Please post to the address below - the copy you requested will be sent to the address provided on the form
  • Please email to the address below (JPEG only*) - the jpeg copy you request will be sent via email.

*Note: Images sent by email will be in JPEG format only and can be up to 2 Mb (ie 2000kb) in size. Check with your email provider if you are able to receive attachments of this size. Only one image can be sent per email.

For inter-library loans

The loan you request can only be used in the reading rooms of the National Library of Australia.
