Finding what you want

Dance related material in the National Library is spread over several collections:

Oral History | Music | Manuscripts | Ephemera | Pictures | General Collection

Individual items from the Dance Collection may not always appear in a catalogue search as some dance collections have not yet been fully catalogued. Individual items in large collections are gradually being exposed through the Library's digitisation program, and are being made accessible through the Australia Dancing service. Try searching Australia Dancing for your specific interest. Fully catalogued material can be found through a search of the catalogue. If you are having problems finding what you are after, please contact any of the above collection areas through their web pages.

Accessing the Dance collection

Dance-related material is accessed through the relevant collection areas. For example, dance material in Pictures can be accessed through the Pictures catalogue. On-site access is through the relevant Reading Rooms. Opening hours and other information can be found from the National Library home page.
