The significant milestone of 100 000 digitised items from the Library's Pictures Collection was reached in November 2007. The 100 000th digitised picture was Jeff Carter's photograph Orphaned joey wearing a winter overcoat made from an old sweater sleeve. Overall, a total of 129 088 collection items across all collection formats have been digitised as of 31 December 2007.

Published a year after the Gallipoli landings for the home front audience, this map shows the landing sites and positions reached by the ANZAC troops during the eight month campaign of 1915. Profits from the one shilling map were to be handed to War Funds. It shows the difficult terrain, as the ground climbs over 200 metres within just 1 kilometre from the beach.
