Request for Quotation (RFQ) No. 00/100 - Digital Object Storage System

The National Library of Australia seeks a supplier for the provision of a Digital Object Storage System (DOSS). The Library will use this System to store the Library's collections of digital objects in ways that support on-going access and enable the Library to carry out a range of preservation activities (e.g. format migration, archival storage, etc) on this material. It is envisaged that the System will provide a universal platform for the storage of digital material within the Library.

Vendors are invited to submit proposals for systems that meet the requirements documented in the RFQ.

Responses are to be provided using the following format:

  1. Response to Functional Requirements, section 2.
  2. Response to Technical Requirements, section 3.
  3. Completed proforma for Systems technical specifications, section 5.1.
  4. Completed proforma for Systems costs, section 5.2.
  5. Completed proforma for Reference sites, section 5.3.
  6. Information on Training, section 5.4.
  7. Company and personnel profile.

Responses to the RFQ are to be provided to the Library by 2pm (Australian EST) on Thursday 27 July 2000. Please note that any addenda to the RFQ will be made available through this web site and vendors are responsible for monitoring the site and obtaining access to addenda.
