Request for Tender - Digital Collection Management System
In August 1999, the National Library of Australia released a Request for Tender (RFT) for the provision of a Digital Collection Management System. The aim of the RFT was to enable the Library to manage its holdings of digital material effectively and efficiently. The material to be managed includes both Australian electronic publications captured for archiving and preservation, and copies of items in the Library's collection created through scanning or digitisation.
Through this Request for Tender the Library expected to procure products and services available in the market place that could provide a robust digital collection management infrastructure.

The Library held an Open Briefing Session on this Request for Tender from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. on Thursday 2 September 1999.
