Incorporate a morning at the Library into your schools PD opportunities in 2008. Contact education staff at the Library to find reader education presentations are on offer and can be tailored for your school requirements.

During the International Year of Astronomy, try fun ideas for astronomy lessons with Library staff, using the recent publication Australian Backyard Astronomy as a starting point. Includes star and planet viewing with Canberra Astronomical Society.

The A - Z of Art at the Library

A collection-in-focus study day. Senior Visual Art students explore the Library's rich art collection, ranging from illuminated manuscripts, rare book woodcuts, artist diaries, colonial paintings through to digital photographs. Work from prominent historic and contemporary Australian and overseas artists is included, with students having the chance to explore Library resources related to their Major Works and Visual Arts Process Diary entries.
