Thomas Bulch and the brass band arrangementThomas Bulch arrived in Australia in 1884 and became a leader in the development and popularising of brass bands in the ensuing decades. He was the publisher of band arrangements and compositions in Australian subscription brass band journals and in other publications emanating from centres such as Glasgow and Leipzig. He published his own arrangements under various pseudonyms, including Godfrey Parker, the name he chose when contributing the ‘Craigielee’ march to the Intercolonial Brass and Military Journal in 1893.
