50 Years of the Library Building
Talks / Lecture
Did you know Tom Bass’s Lintel Sculpture that sits above the National Library’s entrance comprises more than three tonnes of copper? The sculpture was transported in three trucks where the pieces were welded together on site.
Hear more as Curator Dr Grace Blakeley-Carroll leads a walking tour of the Library, highlighting architectural, art and design features of the building on its 50th anniversary.
Wear your walking shoes. On this tour, you'll be discovering parts of the building you may never have seen before. Some parts of this tour may not be wheelchair accessible.
Please note that this tour will run once again in winter.
