Join mapping experts as they discuss the many changes and innovations in contemporary environmental and geographic cartography.

Lalit Kumar, Associate Professor, Ecosystem Management, University of New England, will be talking about his research in the Pacific which uses current satellite images, old maps and aerial photographs to determine how the coasts have changed over the last 50 to 100 years.

Tony Boston, Branch Head, Environmental Information Management, Bureau of Meteorology, will speak on environmental mapping and monitoring at the Bureau.

Laura Berman, Esri Australia’s Partner Manager, will discuss the application of modern mapping technology in the fight against environmental erosion and species decline.
