National Folk Festival Concert: The Reverend Gary Davis - An Illustrated Talk by Woody Mann

Woody Mann, singer-songwriter, jazz and blues guitarist, composer and musicologist, is considered a modern master of his art. Mann studied acoustic guitar with legendary ragtime and blues guitarist Reverend Gary Davis from 1968 to 1972 and was more recently the co-producer and musical supervisor on the documentary film Harlem Street Singer: The Reverend Gary Davis Story. Considered to be a world authority on the work of this seminal musician, Mann will draw on personal recollections and firsthand experiences, as well as his extensive knowledge of the man and his music.
