National Folk Festival Lunchtime Concert: The Provost Brothers

National Folk Festival Lunchtime Concert: The Provost Brothers

You may not know Barry and Bruce Provost, but you’re sure to recognise their theme song from the travel TV series Ask the Leyland Brothers. The Provost brothers, originally from Grafton, started out with a live slot on radio in the 1950s and became regular faces on television in the 1960s, appearing alongside the legendary Johnny O’Keefe. They went on to write and perform some of Australia’s most memorable jingles. Join Barry and Bruce Provost as they perform their music and discuss their work with folklore historian Rob Willis.
