Online Seminars

Development of the National Library of Australia's online seminar series began in mid-1996. The first seminar to go online was the Women Writing: Views & Prospects 1975-1995. Most of the online seminars constitute two main parts:

  • online publication of the papers presented at the face-to-face seminar held at the National Library in and enhanced with links to other sites including those on the National Library's Web server, highlighting collections, services, products and online resources and tools;

  • a moderated and archived email discussion list, available after the papers are mounted.

It is intended that the discussion will remain in an online archive. This will be a pattern for future seminars, although full papers might not always be published online.
