Landscaping the Lake
 
Join Dr Dianne Firth as she explores the design, construction and landscaping of Lake Burley Griffin in the early 1960s. Dianne Firth is Deputy Chair of the ACT Heritage Council, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, and Adjunct Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture at the University of Canberra.
 
Includes a collection viewing of the splendid collection of photos, maps and other material from the Richard Clough collection held by the NLA. Richard Clough was the NCDC’s chief landscape architect responsible for the construction of Lake Burley Griffin.
 
A joint presentation by the Friends of the National Library of Australia and the Australian Garden History Society
