This exhibition provides a fascinating insight into the influences and individuals that have shaped Australia’s vibrant music culture.

Canberra-based music historian, performer and curator of the exhibition, John Shortis, has drawn primarily from the extensive music collections of the National Library of Australia and ScreenSound Australia, the National Screen and Sound Archive. The exhibition includes video, oral history, original sheet music, photographs and a variety of objects that provide an opportunity for visitors to hear the music and listen to the stories of music producers, songwriters and musicians of the last century.
