Materials:
The Bunyip of Berkeleys Creek
Large pieces of blank paper
Textas, coloured pencils, paint, glitter, etc.
Stiff cardboard for book cover
Staples or thick tape to bind book
Read the Bunyip of Berkeleys Creek
Design a Bunyip of Your School Creek book.
Each group, seating of three or four students, will write the next sentence
Start with a snappy sentence
The bunyip sat up and looked around.
Sally peered through the bushes.
GGRRAAHHHGG!! With a huge roar, the Bunyip pounced.
Each group is to write the next sentence and illustrate it themselves. A group discussion must be held to anticipate where the story is headed so there is less confusion.
