Margaret Walker was a pharmacy student when the Ballets
Russes companies came to Australia. She was inspired by them to
take up dancing and spent the rest of her life as a dancer, teacher
and
advocate for dance. As a student she especially admired Irina Baronova.
This photo, part of her personal archives, was one of many on sale
in theatre foyers during the tours.
