There has never been a better time to join the Friends of the National Library of Australia!

As well as meeting new people and enjoying the wide range of benefits provided by our Supporters, you will be invited to attend a range of cultural events offered throughout the year. These can include exhibition tours, day trips to places of interest, white glove evenings and lectures by prominent authors, researchers and poets.

You will also be a Friend to one of the most beautiful and majestic buildings in Australia, set in the cultural centre of the capital of Australia, Canberra. Each quarter members receive a calendar listing Friends and other Library events as well as copies of the National Library Magazine and the Friends Newsletter.

The Friends are advised by a committee of 16 members. Committee members range in background and experience and are all members of the Friends. The committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting held by the 30 November each year. Nominations are called for at least a month in advance. For more information, please refer to the Friend's corporate documents.
