McGEOCH, ROBERT (1848-1926)

A farmer and grazier from the New South Wales-Victoria border region, Robert McGeoch kept a total of 43 diaries between 1883 and 1926 which give a unique, although understated, insight into three Federation events: the Federation Conference in Corowa in 1893, the Bathurst People's Convention in November 1896 and the official opening of the Commonwealth Parliament in Melbourne in 1901.
