Carl Bridge is Head of the Menzies Centre for Australian Studies, King’s College London. His books include: A Trunk Full of Books, Munich to Vietnam; Between Empire and Nation, Manning Clark, and The British World and he is currently editing R.G. Casey’s Second World War Washington diaries.
