Carole Carpenter
Carole H. Carpenter is a folklorist and professor in the Division of Humanities at York University where she has taught since 1971 in Canadian Studies, and Children’s Literature and Culture. She is currently developing a Children’s Studies program. Her research interests concern the interplay between folklore and identity, most recently as related to the enlistment of children’s literature in identity politics in Australia, Canada and South Africa.
