Ophelia Cheung

Ophelia Cheung has a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Hong Kong (1972) and a Master of Library Science from the University of Western Ontario in Canada (1978). She has worked in special libraries as well as academic libraries. She began as a cataloguer at the University of Hong Kong (1978) and then took charge of the Reference Library at Radio Television Hong Kong (1978-1981) and the Library of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (1981-1985). She joined the Ryerson University Library in Canada in 1985, and since then has been involved in reference, library instruction and collection development in addition to administrative responsibilities. She co-managed the Economics and Business subject floor, was Head of Information Services, and then Head of Audio Visual/Interlibrary Loans in the last four years. She recently joined the Borrower Services Team, a new unit that has combined Audio Visual/Interlibrary Loans with Circulation, Reserve, Stacks maintenance, Public Relations and Communications.
