Mary A. Hollerich Associate Director for Access Services,
Pritzker Legal Research Center, Northwestern University Law School, Chicago,

The author has 20 years'
experience in United States interlending operations and organizations. She has
held professional positions at Northwestern University Law Library and Main
Library, the University of Southern California, and the University of Illinois
at Urbana-Champaign. She has chaired or served on numerous regional and
national interlending committees and task forces, including the American
Library Association's Interlibrary Loan Committee and Interlibrary Loan
Discussion Group. She is currently spearheading two national efforts: 1)
development of a web-based introductory course on interlending practices and
protocols, and 2) creation of the first section in the American Library
Association devoted to coordination and promotion of all manner of resource
sharing activities. Ms. Hollerich is also 1) listowner for ILL-L, a U.S.-based
listserv devoted to interlending topics, 2) webmaster for ILLweb,
http://www.illweb.org, a gateway to Internet resources pertaining to all
aspects of interlending operations and management, and 3) recipient of the 2003
Virginia Boucher OCLC Distinguished Interlibrary Loan Librarian Award.
